Do Deep Tissue Massages Hurt?
Don’t miss out on the benefits of a deep tissue massage because of what you’ve heard about elbows in awkward places.
Here’s a bit on what my massys are like.
I describe them as relaxing but firm in the places you need it.
Knots in your shoulders? I will work those areas to start getting rid of the knots that have built up.
Think nice big relaxing strokes, then slightly reinforced to add pressure and then more pressure over the knotty bits and more big strokes to get the lymph drainage working.
Throughout the treatment I check what level of pressure we’re at, as everyone is different, so I can always reduce pressure or add more.
So…
…do deep tissue massages hurt?
It doesn’t have to! Communication is key, tell me if it hurts!
As long as I can get a firm pressure then it will do it’s job and break down knots, ease tension and the lymph drainage will do the rest.
Have I put you at ease yet?
Try one with me - you’ll be glad you did.
